1. Washing My Hands of It

Wrapped in letters
Glowing darker than before
The world is full of sound
Space and silence filled

Bedrooms alight
As dusk surrounds
And chill smoothes the air
Time is running out

Did anyone see me?
Had anyone notice me leave?
I was gone by the early morning
Left with the sun behind me

Sirens filled the air
As pages are swept with the wind
Time had recycled
Just keep your eyes on the sun

Tears dampen the Earth
Everyone dies
All heads were in place
As dust covered their eyes

When day had turned over to night
And under it's dark veil I had found
I'd catch the sun by the early morning
And be gone by it's golden peak

The mornings dew had moistened the air
And it had settled upon my brow
The world seemed young and fresh
Then a soft light appeared ahead (its time to run)

Did anyone see me?
Had anyone notice me leave?
I was gone by the early morning
Left with the sun chasing me

2. Above the 60th Parallel

This is why the morning is so beautiful
Even though my stomach feels so ill
I can see the sun peeking at me
Anxious to dry the dew covered world
And I sow myself into the Earth
And my skin takes on the dirt
And I bury my tears in the Earth
As my blood feeds the world
And I bury my tears in the Earth

I live each day
Digging myself away
Buried beneath the sound
Of time passing by

What the sun took away
Remains here today
Alone in the world
Embraced by the Earth

The ground is richer at this time
And the plants are green and damp with rebirth
And I bathe myself in the Earth
And my skin becomes the dirt
And I bury my tears in the Earth
As my blood drowns the world
And I bury my tears in the Earth

I live each day
Digging myself away
Buried beneath the sound
Of time passing by

What the sun took away
Remains here today
Alone in the world
Embraced by the Earth

I live each day
Digging my grave
To rest beneath the ground
While time begins again

Once the ages are rebuilt
As they were before
The sun will be watching
And morning will fall again

3. Snow Covers All

As it snowed, the efforts of his toil gave in
To a white, crystal veil that blankets the dead
Just as well, sometimes you couldn't look at them
Snow covered all and the harvest would dream again

He worked alone and the ground was so frozen and cold
Later, many would be taken by his strength and vigor
But all the more by the interiors of his psyche
And the craftsmanship of his labor

Time had granted many companions
Upheaved from the Earth, sometimes in pieces
Now assembled into a personal museum
Dust covered all and he would never be alone again

Can you not see the helplessness on his face?
Condemn the man who was always alone
He was no more a ghoul, than a pathetic angel
Without a full appreciation of what he had done

Can you not see the loneliness on his face
He's better off dead, he should have never been born
What now, what can be done?
Burn the past and burn what could become

4. Between Goldberg

Goldberg's variations had permitted sleep
And the turning in my stomach had awakened me
The dim blue light through my window
Had all but calmed me

I would stay up late into the night
Until the sun had warmed the Earth
Gripping at patterns of the morning
Fighting the sequences before my eyes

The sun rises and my panic begins
I've spent all night sick to my stomach
As if imagination were a disease
I'm tired, and I hope the sun burns us all

The Night was
complex and
I could not
break free it's secrets

I wake with
the sun and
I'm ill with
the sun

5. Apollo Destroys, Apollo Creates

6. Song to Fall On Deaf Ears

This is a song to fall on deaf ears
And these are words not meant for you to hear
If sound is the death of silence
I had hoped that you'd stay for the evening
Then I am constantly in mourning
I had planned to wake you by the early morning

If sound is the death of silence
Then I am constantly in mourning
This is a song to fall on deaf ears
Have you ever seen the sun rise?
And these are words not meant for you to hear
Have you ever felt so sick in your life?
