3. Golden Age
4. Vampire Season
5. Wintertale
6. Moonrise

1. Welcome

2. Thorns of Ice

It was his last day in life,
the old man raised his head to the sky
and called out the name of the father:
God - when I die, I know it is your will,
but my last wish I pray to you to fulfil:
I never possessed a garden, so give it to me,
and I will be your son again.

Thorns of ice (will never melt)
on a stem of a rose
and the icy blossom will -
will resist the winter-storms.

My dream had come true - the old man thought,
but god gave him a garden full of ice.
In despair the old man grew ´em with frozen blue
but just one started to bloom.
A rose of ice with steel-blue thorns of frozen life.
With a snow-tear in his eye he stroke the plant
But thorns of ice ripped his skin
And his blood flew on the blossom.
It turned red - rose-red.

Thorns of ice (can make you bleed)
For what (for your life's deed)
Thorns of ice remember you
All the time in life.

Thorns of ice stitching your skin,
intoxicating all your blood,
lower the eternal pulse...

...with his hands,
full of freezing blood
the old man raised his head the second time to the sky
and asked again:
oh God, mighty God,
look at my hands, full of frozen blood like a murderer!
I never killed, I never slept, I never lived in sin,
but what for, you punish me -
God, mighty God...

Thorns Of Ice...

So here is my answer, the voice sounded from the sky,
I want you to remember the time you lived your life,
time spent, wasted on nothingness.
When you sow a second you'll never get an hour...
So the old man asked himself:
How much consideration I gave a rose in life?

3. Golden Age

Our will brought them down
By history drowned
To ruins their realm
All wail to my ear
In disgrace they lower their face
They, self-named lords of the world

Thus made them shiver and turn,
But dust on the river won’t burn!

They who pursed-proud with power
Their wealth and their smell
Lie at the feet of the slaves
In our victory-hour
Rose to high like a child on a swing
Pomp pulled to hard at their wings

Used to ride the day
Through the lands of green,
Yet the land’s turned grey
And the days cold and mean.
Escape reverie -
Wake up dead from your dream.

Has been gone a while,
Lies our way ahead.
Spare the ripened wine,
Drink stale water instead
Let them regret -
We’ll take back what we had

We’ll take your dried out land
Make it blossom
Work ‘stead of rhyming
Rhyme ‘stead of laughing
Laugh ‘stead of rotting, nothing’s forgotten
Yet we treat even you with a mild hand

Used to ride the day ...

I saw a time full of grief with my own mortal eyes
Hold me tonight
Then let me tell ‘bout the pain and an age that had died

Like they feel now, we had felt when we fell on the fields
Like they cry now, we’d cried when they broke our shields
Stroke once us now themselves with their greed
We’re without guilt for they challenged their fate to be sealed

I saw a time full of violence and cruelty
Hold me maybe
Then let me tell how we rose, fought and died to be free

Fearless and fierce as possible as men can be
Righteous claims in our backs, with us morality
Would we’ve died in the dawn we’d have lived finally

We won’t forgive our suppressers - Never!
Their penalty be to be trivial forever
They’re dust on the water, by the wind turning
Rather drowning than burning

Thus made them shiver and turn,
But dust on the river won’t burn!

Divide the crossed Spartacus
From criminals, messiahs
Hold the true martyrs high as
For us they have died
A Golden Age one day to plot
In freedom of leaders and gods

We will ride our way
To the lands of green.
Lest until that day
We forget our dream.
For we’re all slaves
Chains are there to be yield

Trust the lines you’ve heard,
Hear the words I said.
Cease from eating dirt,
We drink ale instead
To the time we’ve had,
To a time coming
Back to a world which’s not worth to be hold in esteem.

4. Vampire Season

Cry
Stare beyond
Live my life
By the stars and the moon

When the moon is covered by shadows
And no moonlight can break through the clouds
I feel the graveyard behind this night.

My heart will die before your eyes -
Now comes the night of the nights.
When the vampire comes for me
To get my blood - my life - my soul.

When the cold light's creeping,
when the fire turns to ice
and all oceans turn red,
the cold blood's freezing in my veins
like the nocturnal pulse in me.

The creatures of night
The creatures of dawn
And vampire season is on...

Silent - thirsty - weak
And full of cold desire
So come on, vampire!
And take my blood - lust - and life!
The sky cracks open for the creatures of night...

Vampire Season

5. Wintertale

I woke up this night -
Three days before a bastard's born.
Ice-flowers blossom at my window,
Bend their heads against the storm.

The world hides 'neath its pillow.
Yet I left my home
Welcomed by white landscapes,
Renewed and free to roam.

I leave the streets behind
Begrimed by grey-dyed mud,
Seeking for a place
Where the ice is still uncut.

I look through astral mirrors
Learning what it teaches me,
Telling me a fairy tale
Of how it used to be:

"So let me tell
My winter tale
Of a time long passed"

Wintertale!
Open your clouds.
The one to be a toy,
The others a shroud.

Take me away
Where the snow was born,
Winter tale!
To be my home.

"At Midwinter solstice
The sun eclipsed forever.
Ice rules again
Till the twilight of thy gods.

Mankind fades away
With its ideas thought out that clever.
Dark skies
Descend above the land.

Ravens built a nest
Within the dome of Cologne
Fallen to ruins
As sleet draws upon.

All their sold out wisdom
Locked beneath the frozen Rhine.
I walk this blackened scenery,
Amused by its decline!"

"So it will end,
My Wintertale."

6. Moonrise

And in the moonrise I creep into their dreams
To play dead and dying.
And they won't wake up no more.
In the moonrise dreams take my friends to the realm of the dead.

Snow covers the earth with frozen tears.
Dressed in the white of a shroud.
Loneliness awakes in a burning shape of ice.
So painful is the eruption of thoughts

And in the moonrise...

When I think back of the time
before life fell to sleep.
The graveyard was green when I watched my requiem.
Dreams had taken me from life.

When I woke up it was deepest night
and nothing but silence around me.
The angels won't fly in the Midwinter-night
their wings broke under the burden of ice.

Drifting on a cloud of memories
I can see the graveyard in the dark
where another funeral is going on.
My friend of last night.

And in the moonrise...

In the moonrise when you fall asleep will you remember me, my friend!
Your angels won't come tonight, just snow-tears they cry.
The silver shine of winter will guide you to your grave.
Your death-moon is rising now.

And in the moonrise I creep into your dreams
To play dead and dying.
And you won't wake up no more.
In the moonrise dreams take you, my friend, to the realm of the dead.

(Your death-moon is rising!)
