1. Phoenix Rising

Darkness sets over the land
As evil stares from the castle
Another day of fighting
Echoes through the halls

Perched on a mountain
He watches the land
Sings a song of a life he has lived
Building a nest for his last place of rest
Sets it on fire to be born once again
See the phoenix rising, watch him rise
See the phoenix rising, for new life

Rise from the ashes
Flames fill the sky
Hearts are filled with fear oh
As they watch the phoenix rise high
Stood on this land
And I’ll fight for it again
Can you see the phoenix rise

Swords and fire, all we desire
Is to win in the end
Drink to the king, here’s to the sire
Now it’s off with your head

We are full of honor
We will defend our land
Go to the fields my friends, yeah
And think of the king in the end
I found on this land
And I’ll fight for it again

Sorcerers and wizards with spells of power
Cast the blade in the stone
The strongest man to pull it our
Will be king in the end

2. Cemetary Man

As I walk this hallway
I think about the past
Through the darkness of the night
Wonder if I’ll last
The candle starts to flutter
I approached the evil room
Above the mantle hangs the picture
The one that cause my doom

Is there anyway out of hell
The stairs in here lead to nowhere

The floor still creaks by the fireplace
Where grandfather used to sit
The sound of the rocking chair
Rocking in my mind, I still hear it
The wind blows the shutter
Then closes with a bang
But nothing hurts the picture
Above the mantle it still hangs
Walking past the tall rough stones
To find his love that’s dead again
Only living for the fight
Only living for the fight

Through the thick wet fog at night
Never dying he lives there forever
With the voice that screams to him from heaven

It’s always dark it’s always gray
Past the fog the young they say
You’ll see him washing the blood from his hands
He’s the cemetery man

3. Street Anger

After six years of trying
After six years of dying
I found myself in a world
So unreal, so unreal

Why are these children
Playing with these guns
In the street

Shots a blaze of thunder
The war still ain’t over
Bloodshed shows it never ends
Never ends…

Behind these four cell walls
I think about it all
Never to taste freedom again
Taste freedom again…

Playing with those guns in the street

4. Eternal Dreams

Woke from a dream, it’s over now
Sky was red and falling down
She was there to take me back here

Don’t say it’s over now
Sure we can find our way
Don’t say lost our way
Heaven above I’ll pray
I’ll pray

Watched this beauty
She stood before me
Memories flow through my mind
I watched as my life passed before my eyes

Led me to a better place
Where pain in life don’t exist
Visions of my body leaving
Where pain in life don’t exist
Guiding me back to the hall again
This journey in death will end
Woke from a dream, it’s over now
Sky was red and falling down
She was there to take me back here

5. The Devil Showed Me

I will die a lonely man
No one left to hold my hand
As I take this journey in time
Oh almost lost my mind
Walk the streets a lonely man
People stare but don’t really care
Guess that’s the way we’re all treated today
Oh yeah we’re all treated

I was once a happy man
With a wife and kids to understand
When I was having a bad day
Now they went away
Now they went away
Can someone help me

It’s been two years to the day
When God knocked on my door
And I turned him away
Satan then rang my bell
Said I’ll take you to hell
The he showed me, yes he showed me
He showed me the way

Showed me the way
I played the game
Taught me to love
Taught me to hate
Feed me a line, and I’ll be okay
One step closer to death
Dragged by a rope from my brain
Ruined my life this cocaine
Now I must be insane…

Now I’ve gone and messed it up
Standing on the corner with a sign and a cup
Will work for food
All you have to do is throw me a dime
It isn’t a crime
Oh just throw me a dime

As I sit here I think
If I answered God’s call I wouldn’t need a thing
But I looked Satan in the eye
Now I’m gonna die, now I’m gonna die
Oh can someone help me

I will die a lonely man
Lonely man, so lonely

6. Rushed

Have you stood at the end of a road
Where the sun meets the ground
I have been there before
And I’ll open the door
To a place in my mind…
Do you have the time, the time…

It changes everything
Hoping you’ll find your way

Bullet of pain flows through your brain
Ending all that is van
Choice wasn’t yours to decide
If to live or to die
Now you’ve made up your mind
And you’re out of time… of time…

Falling down I can’t find my way
Back to this place, I was before
Can you open the door
Can you open the door…

I was sent to try and change your mind
From the man up above
Said he’s not done with your life
It’s for him to decide
When it’s time to go home
Believe in him and know… you’ll know

Now that I have told you what I know
Think twice when I go
Just because I’ll be gone
Don’t mean you’re all alone
We’ll watch from above
And send his love
His love…

7. The Band Plays On

Through the years of happiness
I watched as you struggled to make a name
And the songs that ring in the heart of fans

Now you made the name and
Others bring you down
But the flame that burns in
Your heart will never fade

Focus on the future
Wondering what it will be
As your band plays on
It doesn’t seem in reach
Keep the sound in your soul
And all will be complete

Five years of (tyrant’s) reign floods your path
As the storms of winter(kill) brings you back

Club after club and dive after dive
As your band plays on
It doesn’t seem in reach
Keep the sound in your soul
And all will be complete

When I look in your eyes I see yeah
Place where I always wanted to be
Got what it takes everyone can see

I see your future
And I know what it will be
As your band plays on
It’ll all be in reach
Keep the sound in your soul
And all will be complete
Yeah, oh be complete
Yeah, oh be complete

8. Blood in the Sand

Sunlight reflects off shards of broken glass
Moonlight struggles
To escape the temple walls
As eons pass eternal
Like sands through an hourglass

The crystal palace remains the same
Whispering tales of old
Of people long gone
As fear arises
In the hearts of tyrants
The truth remains untold
For as pillars stand on foundations
So must elders stay united

Pyramids built reaching for the sun
Fingers bleed and burn from evil ones
Time has no pity when working for the gods
Temples scratched with markings from above

Reflections of our past lives
Shine on us today
To see what’s in the future
We must look back to those days
Mesmerized I stand blank
How long before we learn

As I stand here trying to explain
If we don’t change life will fade away
Then there will be, blood in the sand
Till their dying day
When earth gives way
For a new start of life
They’ll look at our past lives

As fear arises
In the hearts of tyrants
The truth remains untold
You brought your people to war one more time
Now there’s blood in the sand

9. Can't Stop the Pain

(Dedicated to the loving memories of Johnny Pastar, Grandma Ritchie, Uncle Mike and Rod Fouch)

I can’t help but think of you
One I loved for so long
I was young and somehow knew
Somehow knew
The one I loved would soon be gone

I can’t stop the pain
I can’t stop the rain
That’s in my heart
You’re in my soul

Remembering our times together
And the things we used to do
Your life has slipped through my hands
Now all I have are memories of you

I can’t help but think of you
Wondering what it would be like
If you were still here with me

Everyday I try
Soon I will believe
You’re never coming back to me
To me… again

10. Die For Me

Hearts beating faster
My blood starts to boil
Fists clenched in fury
For what I have in store

How can I get you to see
You’ll die for me
Die for me, die for me
Die for me…

Don’t care what happens to me
My mind’s evil thoughts haunt me
Gonna pack up my 44
Gonna kick down that door

And now the time has come
To shoot the anger from my gun
Does it feel like you’re gonna die
On your knees pray to the sky

Hate - the way I feel for you now
Anger - the way my mind twists thoughts
Love - nothing left to describe
Death - the way it all ends tonight

Ha ha, let’s see ya die

11. Battles End

Out on the battlefield
I don’t know what it means to kill
Bodies of my friends lay dead
Running free invades my head

The enemies approaching near
My heart is filling up with fear
Don’t know how long I’ll last
Don’t want my name encased in glass

Oh now can’t you save me
From the pain I feel inside
Watching my friends die
In a world so remote
Oh the bloodshed never ends
I risk my life to save my land
The time has come for me to fight
Will I see tomorrow or will I die

Out on the battlefield
Heroes are made out of clouds of steel
The only way to survive
Is kill the man on the other side
Now that man approaches near
Time of training forgotten here
Life my gun aim for his head
This is the part of war I dread
