The name "JUDECCA" literally means the "City of Judas," which lies within the innermost circle of Hell, and is home to Satan. In this case, JUDECCA is the new band featuring members formerly of Within Choking Range, Leviathan (MA) and Eighth Empire. The band recently formed in September of '06, and soundwise, marks a return to traditional metal roots.

There also used to be a death metal band called Judecca that existed during the 1990's, and has since disbanded. They had several releases under the now defunct Wild Rags label.
